Gujarat Titans have announced the appointment of former Indian cricketer Parthiv Patel as their new assistant and batting coach for the 2025 IPL season.
Parthiv, who had a successful 17-year career as a wicketkeeper-batter, will bring valuable experience to the team. Known for his sharp cricketing mind, he will focus on improving the batting skills of the Titans’ players and helping them develop effective batting strategies ahead of the new season.
The 39-year-old has been part of several IPL teams during his playing career. He started with Chennai Super Kings, later joined Mumbai Indians, where he won IPL titles, and played his final season with Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2018. He has also worked as a scout for Mumbai Indians and as a batting coach for Mumbai Emirates.

Parthiv’s experience extends beyond the IPL. He played 25 Tests, 38 One-Day Internationals, and 2 T20Is for India, and is known for mentoring younger players. His insights and guidance will be a valuable addition to the Gujarat Titans’ coaching staff as they prepare for the upcoming season.
The Titans believe Parthiv’s experience and cricketing knowledge will play a key role in improving the team’s performance and player development in IPL 2025.
