Mongolia has set an unwanted new record in cricket, posting the lowest total in men’s T20Is. The team was dismissed for just 10 runs against Singapore, matching the previous record held by the Isle of Man, who were also out for 10 runs by Spain on February 25, 2023.
This record-setting match took place during an ICC T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier in Bangi, Selangor, Malaysia. After winning the toss, Singapore chose to field first and managed to bowl out Mongolia in just 10 overs.
Singapore’s teenage leg-spinner Harsha Bharadwaj delivered a stunning performance, dismissing six Mongolian batters with figures of 6/3, marking the second-best bowling stats in men’s T20Is. Five Mongolian players were out for a duck, and no one managed more than two runs. Singapore then chased down the 11-run target with ease, achieving victory in just 5 balls.
Mongolia now holds three of the four lowest team totals in men’s T20Is, all recorded within the past four months.
