The BCCI selection committee has announced a 15-player squad for India’s upcoming 3-match T20I series against Bangladesh. Suryakumar Yadav will captain a rejuvenated Indian side, featuring several new faces, including the highly-anticipated debut of uncapped pacer Mayank Yadav. Known for his blistering pace, Mayank clocked speeds in the mid-150 mph range during the 2024 IPL season, making him the most talked-about name in the squad.

Joining Mayank Yadav are fellow IPL standouts Harshit Rana and all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy, both of whom earned their spots after stellar performances last season. Sanju Samson will serve as the primary wicketkeeper, while Jitesh Sharma makes his return to the T20I squad as the backup keeper. 

In the spin department, Ravi Bishnoi and Washington Sundar will be complemented by Varun Chakaravarthy, who returns to the national team after a three-year gap. Riyan Parag and Abhishek Sharma add further depth to the squad, while power-hitters Rinku Singh and Shivam Dube also retain their places.

The T20I series kicks off on October 6 in Gwalior at the newly constructed Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium.
