Harry Brook is set to step up as England’s captain for the upcoming ODI series against Australia, filling in for Jos Buttler who is sidelined with a calf injury. This will be Brook’s debut as England’s skipper in any format, although the 25-year-old has previously captained Yorkshire in the T20 Blast and the Northern Superchargers in The Hundred.

In addition to Buttler’s absence, England will also be without Josh Hull due to a quad injury. Hull, who made his England debut in the third Test against Sri Lanka, had an impressive outing by taking three wickets in the first innings.

Liam Livingstone, who has been in stellar form during the T20I series, returns to the squad after being initially left out. Livingstone, who recently expressed his eagerness to play more for England, is hoping to make an impact.

“I’m excited for the chance to bat higher up the order in T20Is and show what I can do,” Livingstone shared. “While I’m disappointed not to be included in the ODIs, I’m determined to keep pushing for a spot. I’ve had a tough few years with injuries, but I’m focused on making a strong comeback.”

England fans can look forward to seeing Brook lead the team and Livingstone return to the squad, bringing fresh energy and determination.
