India’s left-arm pacer, Arshdeep Singh, has made a significant rise in the ICC Men’s T20I rankings, moving up to a career-high joint-eighth place among bowlers. This remarkable ascent comes on the back of his Player-of-the-Match performance in India’s 7-wicket win over Bangladesh in the first T20I in Gwalior on Sunday. Arshdeep delivered a stellar spell of 3 for 14, helping India gain a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

The 25-year-old pacer’s career-best rating points tally of 642 reflects his growing impact on the international stage, as he now shares the eighth spot with South Africa’s Anrich Nortje in the top 10 bowlers. This marks a major achievement for the young fast bowler, who continues to impress with his ability to bowl under pressure, especially in the shortest format.

Meanwhile, Arshdeep’s teammate, allrounder Hardik Pandya, has also seen a notable rise in the rankings. Following an impressive showing with both the bat and ball against Bangladesh, Pandya moved up four places to claim the No. 3 spot among T20I all-rounders. The allrounder shared the new ball with Arshdeep, picking up 1 for 26 in four overs. He then followed up with a blistering unbeaten 39 off just 16 balls, which included 32 runs in boundaries. His performance ensured India chased down the 128-run target with 49 balls to spare.

In the broader rankings, England’s legspinner Adil Rashid remains the leader among T20I bowlers, while his teammate Liam Livingstone and Nepal’s Dipendra Singh Airee continue to dominate the top two spots in the T20I allrounder rankings.

In the world of One Day Internationals (ODIs), Ireland’s victory over South Africa by 69 runs in the final match of their recent series has resulted in significant movement in the player rankings.

Despite losing the series 2-1, the Irish players were rewarded for their performances. Curtis Campher, who scored a crucial 34 in the series-clinching win, gained two places and now sits at No. 62 among ODI batters. Meanwhile, Ireland’s seamers, Craig Young and Graham Hume, also saw notable improvements in their rankings. Young, who took 7 wickets across the three ODIs, including a match-winning 3 for 40 in the final game, rose 12 spots to No. 44 in the bowler rankings. Hume, who also claimed 3 for 29 in that game, jumped an impressive 23 positions to No. 47.
