Kensington Oval is a cricket ground located in the western section of Bridgetown, Barbados’ capital city. Kensington was founded in 1871 and officially opened to the public in 1872. The first test match between the West Indies and England took place in 1930. The stadium seats up to 28,000 people. The bowling ends of this stadium are named after West Indian cricket greats Malcolm Marshall and Joel Garner. The stadium’s longest perimeter is 65 meters, while the shortest is only 58 meters long.
